The Rotary Tree of Remembrance
The Rotary Tree of Remembrance gives people the opportunity to remember loved ones in a simple way during the Christmas rush by placing your message on a yellow ribbon on the Tree.
It is one of our main projects along with the Rotary Club of Bishopstown
Over €1 million has been raised over the 21 years that Rotary has been running the project in Cork and all funds go to Cork charities.
This year the project will start on December 9th with opening prayers and we will have the Lord mayor Cll Kieran McCarthy place the first ribbon on the tree as First Citizen. We hope to have Christmas Carols, along with District Governor of Rotary Ireland Kenny Fisher, and various Rotary volunteers.
Last year we were entertained by members of the Fleichmann choir and the Lord Mayor placed the first ribbon on the tree as First Citizen.
